Is this cat scratcher bed sturdy enough for large cats like Maine Coons?
The pinewood frame is super solid and handles large breeds without wobbling. The 21in area easily fits cats up to 6kg (Ragdolls, British Shorthairs). Adult Maine Coons can nap curled up, though they might hang off slightly if fully stretched out.
Will this actually save my sofa from getting shredded?
Honestly, yes. The reversible sisal surface is way more appealing to cats than couch fabric, redirecting their urge to scratch away from furniture. My sofa cushions have been completely safe ever since. It really does the trick.
How’s the sisal quality? Is it gonna fall apart like those cheap cardboard ones?
Night and day difference. The sisal is thick, odorless, and highly durable. Even with daily heavy use, it barely frays and leaves no messy cardboard dust on the floor. It’s a far better long-term investment than cheap paper scratchers.
Is the cushion easy to clean? I’m not trying to hand-wash anything.
