This was truly the very first fishing rod that bought me into fishing. I've additionally used it for crabbing which requires heavy weights, 4oz + a dungenous crab which is 8-16 oz. The rod is telescoping and small, so it bends when lifting heavy shellfish like crab, however surprisingly holds up sufficient to not snap!

I've used this for surf fishing quite a few occasions, however hadn't actually been cleansing or rinsing it as a lot as I ought to've. The reel stopped spinning and even after a yr customer support was in a position to get me a alternative. Thirty bucks for a transportable rod reel combo with a case and good customer support is a steal. Thanks Castaround!
